Snowbasin Resort to Upgrade Middle Bowl Chairlift and Expand Parking for 2021-22 Season

Snowbasin Resort to Upgrade Middle Bowl Chairlift and Expand Parking for 2021-22 Season

Huntsville, UT (July 1, 2021) – Snowbasin Resort announces plans to replace Middle Bowl Chairlift and expand
parking for the 2021-22 winter season. The new Middle Bowl Express will be a high-speed six person lift that
enhances the overall guest experience with increased uphill capacity and shortened ride time from 12 to less than
six minutes. Additionally, approximately 350 parking stalls will be added in Maples and Canyon Rim parking areas.

The installation of Middle Bowl Express will begin this summer and is expected to be finished prior to Christmas
2021. It will feature a similar path as the previous lift; however the top terminal will now finish above Needles
Lodge with easy access to the lodge from the new location. Some summer trail access will be impacted during
construction of Middle Bowl Express, with details available on Snowbasin’s website.

“Middle Bowl accesses exceptional terrain in the heart of Snowbasin,” says Davy Ratchford, General Manager of
Snowbasin. “We are committed to our guest experience and advanced lift infrastructure, so we’re thrilled to
provide this upgrade to improve our guests’ access to upper mountain skiing.”

The Maples and Canyon Rim expansion will add to Snowbasin’s already high parking capacity and expedite guest
access to the mountain. Construction on the new parking sections will begin in July and will be complete prior to
Opening Day of the 2021-22 winter season.

“At Snowbasin we’re known for our world-class access and are pleased to expand guest access through additional
parking,” said Eric Ahern, Director of Base Area Services. “Just 45 minutes from Salt Lake City and an easy highway
drive away, we welcome all guests to visit and experience our mountain.”

A limited number of chairs from the original Middle Bowl lift will be available to purchase at a later date. Guests
that are interested will be able to join a waiting list to be contacted when chairs are available. Priority will be given
to Snowbasin season pass holders.

Snowbasin is in final stages of authorization with the U.S. Forest Service on the Middle Bowl lift replacement.
