Snowbasin Resort Offers Kid-Centric Fun

Snowbasin Resort is the perfect destination for families on the weekends with activities, workshops and free movies.

SNOWBASIN, Utah (June 26, 2018) Snowbasin Resort is the perfect destination for families on the weekends with activities, workshops and free movies.

On Saturdays Snowbasin offers morning yoga at the top of Needles Gondola that welcomes all ages at a cost of $15 and includes a gondola ticket. Also, Snowbasin offers Introduction to Mountain Biking classes for kids who have at least a 24’’ wheel and feel comfortable riding bikes on pavement.

Snowbasin wants to give parents a break on Sunday afternoons by offering a place for them to drop their kids off. Every Sunday, July 1 August 19 from 3:00 pm 5:00 pm children ages 7-11 can join a

Snowbasin guide to hit the mountain for a fun themed adventure. There are five themes and rotate through the schedule twice in case the kids can’t make one. The theme Naturally Artistic is offered on July 1 and July 29. The kids will experiment with color while learning how to use plant dyes and plant presses to create nature inspired masterpieces. Life in the Forest is offered on July 8 and August 5. The group will discover the creatures that make Snowbasin home and learn how to identify signs of animals. Mountain to Meadows is offered July 15 and August 12. The kids will participate in an obstacle course and scavenger hunt adventure that will take them across the mountain in a safe and fun environment. Find Your Way in the Wild is offered July 22 and August 19, where they will learn to read a compass, how to identify landmarks and make their own map to explore the wilderness. Each adventure tour is just $15, which includes a gondola ticket and snack. Snowbasin recommends that kids come prepared for a mountain adventure with closed-toed shoes and a water bottle. Sunscreen, hat and rain gear are always encouraged.

Snowbasin just kicked off their Movies on the Mountain series last night and plan to offer free movies every Monday evening through August 6. The line-up includes a variety of family-friendly movies, Earls Lodge is open for dinner, snacks and kids favorite movie themed cupcakes each week. Guests can bring blankets, chairs, sleeping bags and whatever else they want to use to sit on the lawn and watch a movie. Even though summer is warmer, jackets and pants are encouraged because it cools off in the mountains in the evenings.

Furthermore, the Kids Zone is expanding the already existing bungee trampoline and rock climbing wall to include an 18-hole Mini Golf Course and a Kids Adventure course, that Snowbasin plans to bring on to the offerings this summer at some point.
