Park City Mountain Resort Begins New Era with Opening Day on Saturday, November 22

Park City Mountain Resort begins an exciting new era, under new ownership, Saturday, November 22 when it opens for the 2014-15 winter season.

  • Opening Day terrain includes 3 lifts, 6 runs, 2 terrain parks, 1 jump line
  • Event schedule includes free hot chocolate, coffee, donuts in resort plaza; Opening Day remarks from new C.O.O. Bill Rock; swag giveaway throughout the day
  • Festivities wrap with live music in the resort plaza 1:00-3:00 p.m.
  • 2014-15 season is Park City Mountain Resort’s first as member of Vail Resorts

 

Park City, Utah (November 20, 2014) – Park City Mountain Resort begins an exciting new era, under new ownership, Saturday, November 22 when it opens for the 2014-15 winter season.

 

Three lifts will serve six runs, two terrain parks and a jump line on Opening Day. PayDay Chairlift will service beginner and intermediate terrain; with additional beginner terrain available via First Time Lift; while 3 Kings Lift will provide access to a jib set-up in lower 3 Kings park, beginner park in upper First Time, and a jump line on Quicksilver.

 

Saturday marks the first day for Park City Mountain Resort as part of the Vail Resorts family. The landmark day will include commemorative swag giveaways around the mountain and an events program beginning with season-opening remarks from the resort’s new Chief Operating Officer Bill Rock. Guests will be welcomed with free coffee, hot chocolate and donuts in the resort plaza beginning at 8:00 am.

 

Opening Day Event Program:

8:00 am: Free coffee, hot cocoa and donuts in resort plaza

8:50 am: Season-opening remarks delivered by Chief Operating Officer Bill Rock at bottom of PayDay Lift

9:00 am: PayDay, 3 Kings, First Time lifts open for season

1:00 – 3:00 pm: Live après music by Tony Holiday & The Velvetones in resort plaza
