Mini CHaRM: Ski, Snowboard & Patagonia Recycle at Alta – April 15, 2017

Utah Recycling Alliance (URA) and Patagonia are partnering up for Alta Earth Day Saturday, April 15th for a Mini CHaRM – Collection of Hard to Recycle Materials.

Alta, UT – April 2017: Utah Recycling Alliance (URA) and Patagonia are partnering up for Alta Earth Day Saturday, April 15th for a Mini CHaRM – Collection of Hard to Recycle Materials. Paying tribute to the ski community this collection will be accepting skis, snowboards and Patagonia worn clothing.  This event is the perfect opportunity to throw all those old skis and mangled base layers into the back of the car and bring them up to Alta.  After doing your good deed you can take advantage of a free demo and make turns on the second to last day Alta Ski Area is open for the season.

The Alta community hopes to build awareness and appreciation for the place we call Alta, with this all-day celebration commemorating April 22nd with Earth Day Every day.  The day will comprise of eco-geared ski and goods vendors, non-profits, naturalist tours, and an après Earth Day community gathering featuring the environmental ski film Last Tracks and a University of Utah presentation on Climate Change Impacts on the Wasatch Range, as well as a fantastic opportunity drawing. To drop of your old skis, snowboards or Patagonia clothing, come to Wildcat Base and look for the URA tent on the snow between 9am and 4pm.
