Ice Castle warms hearts this Valentine’s Day

The Midway Ice Castles serves as a unique backdrop for a romantic Valentine’s Day date. The acre-sized castle has icy slot canyons, frozen tunnels, ice thrones and evening light show. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance at icecastles.com.

MIDWAY, Utah (Feb. 4, 2016) – Heat things up this Valentine’s Day by taking that special someone somewhere very cool: the Midway Ice Castles, located at 2002 Soldier Hollow Road, Midway, Utah, 84049. Hold hands as you explore the frozen tunnels, and get cozy as you squeeze through the icy slot canyons. Make her the queen of this castle as she poses for her Instagram selfie on our ice throne or is treated to a spectacular light show set to music.

In short, score some serious brownie points.

The acre-sized Midway Ice Castle, handcrafted using only water and ice, serves as a romantic backdrop for couples of all ages. Visitors will enjoy walking through 25 million pounds of ice that sparkles a glacial blue by day and glows multi-colored at night with the help of thousands of LED lights embedded in the ice.

“We’ve had quite a few marriage proposals and even a handful of weddings take place in our Ice Castles over the past few years,” said Brent Christensen, Ice Castles founder and creator. “There’s really nowhere else on earth people will find this kind of castle, so it’s the perfect place for those life-changing experiences—or just a really cool date night.”

The Midway Ice Castles is one of only four in the world and will be open through February, weather permitting. However, the venue is expecting a sold-out crowd for the Valentine’s/President’s Day weekend, so visitors are advised to purchase limited tickets in advance at icecastles.com.
