Mountain Bike Trail Investments, Outdoor Concerts and Al Fresco Dining

DEER VALLEY RESORT, PARK CITY, UTAH (Summer 2016) – Deer Valley Resort announces its summer offerings available for guests seeking an invigorating summer getaway. From extensive investments to the resort's mountain biking trail system and vitalizing hikes among the aspens to fine dining and renowned open-air evening concerts, Deer Valley delivers mountain fun all summer long. The resort's daily summer operations begin June 17 and run through September 5, 2016; then weekends only through September 18, weather and conditions permitting.

“Summers at Deer Valley are all about creating memories,” said Bob Wheaton, president and general manager of Deer Valley Resort, “Whether it’s heart-pumping mountain biking, exquisite dining, acclaimed concerts and opportunities aimed to connect with nature and rejuvenate the senses in mild mountain temperatures.”

Last summer, Deer Valley Resort embarked on its largest-ever summer investment to modernize and update its existing mountain biking/hiking trail inventory. That effort delivered the highly successful intermediate “flow” trail, Tidal Wave. Continuing this summer, the resort is building a new beginner “flow” trail, Holy Roller, to offer an even greater mountain biking experience for all abilities and families. Additionally, the start of the IMBA Epic Mid-Mountain Trail is near the base of Deer Valley's Sterling Express Chairlift and next to Silver Lake Lodge. Deer Valley has three lifts to access more than 8,100 feet of elevation and an extensive trail network. With hiking trails, cross-country trails and technical downhill trails, Deer Valley is the original web of diverse single track in Park City. The resort's website provides detailed information on mountain biking and hiking/scenic ride lift ticket rates, as well as information on bike rentals, clinics and tours. Summer chairlifts operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (conditions permitting) and ample free parking is available at Snow Park Lodge.

Summer in the mountains wouldn't be what it is without a spectacular lineup of renowned singers, songwriters and musicians filling the night sky at Deer Valley's famed Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Tickets are on sale now for a full calendar of shows performed multiple times a week that make up the resort's annual summer concert series. The 2016 series consists of the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera's Deer Valley® Music Festival, the Park City Institute’s St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Outdoor Concert Series, Mountain Town Music’s Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series, and select performances presented by presented by The State Room.
