Businesses Open in Alta, Utah

As Alta Ski Area continues to work hard to get the mountain ready for another incredible ski season there are plenty of businesses in Alta that are open for guests, locals and those who just can’t stay away.

Alta, Utah— As Alta Ski Area continues to work hard to get the mountain ready for another incredible ski season there are plenty of businesses in Alta that are open for guests, locals and those who just can’t stay away. Alta Lodge is open for business as usual, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Sitzmark Club opens at 4pm daily. Goldminer’s Daughter Saloon is open daily from 3pm and the café will open Saturday, November 26th and 27th from 7am-5pm. Alta’s Rustler Lodge and the Alta Peruvian Lodge will open doors for guests on Wednesday, November 30th. The Peruvian Lodge Bar is currently open 3:30pm-10pm. The Alta Lodge, Alta’s Rustler Lodge and Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge are currently taking outside reservations for Thanksgiving dinner.

            Alta Chalets and Canyon Services, booking private homes in the Alta/Snowbird area, are currently open and taking reservations for the 2016-2017 ski season. The Shallow Shaft will open Friday, December 2nd with a new Chef, Brandon Mowbray, and has exciting plans for the upcoming season. Alpine Transportation, Alta Shuttle and Canyon Transportation are all operating, taking guests to and from Alta and around the Salt Lake Valley.

            If you’re looking for a unique experience in Alta this season both Utah Mountain Adventures and Powderbird are currently taking reservations for the upcoming season. Utah Mountain Adventures is currently open for mountaineering, snowshoeing and avalanche instruction.
