S.A.F.E. A.S. CLINIC (Women's Specific)

WHAT: A Women’s Introduction Level Course to Avalanche Safety and FUNdraiser Event. One half day of live, online classroom instruction during a weekday that will include an optional yoga class followed by a half-day of on-snow training instruction on a weekend day. WHO FOR: Women, ages 14 and older who are interested in starting or refreshing their knowledge of snow and avalanche safety in and out of bounds, and who enjoy a good time for a good cause. ***A Co-Ed clinic will be offered at each location. Men, ages 14 and older are able to join the ladies to start or refresh their snow and avalanche safety knowledge. *** WHO BY: Taught by Palisade’s own avalanche forecaster, Alaska heli-ski guide, and AIARE (American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education) Avalanche Instructor Lel Tone, hosted by ski professionals Michelle Parker, Jackie Paaso, Ingrid Backstrom, and Elyse Saugstad.
