A total Solar Eclipse is coming to the United States. The path of totality is about 150 miles north, but Northern Utah will have the greatest viewing circumstances in the State. With the added elevation at Needles Lodge, we will have an amazing view of this partial eclipse!
Food and Drink will be available for sale. Free for 17/18 Premier Season Pass Holders and 2017 Summer Pass Holders. $14 Adult (18 and over);
$10 Youth (7-17); Free for 6 Under
Needles Gondola will be running 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Food and drink will be for sale. Gondola rides are free for 17/18 Premier Season Pass holders and 2017 Summer Pass Holders. If you don't have one of those the cost is $14 for adults (18 and over); $10 youth (7-17); and 6 and under are free.
Solar Eclipse Circumstances for the Ogden Area:
10:13 am – C1 or eclipse begins
11:33 am – Middle of the eclipse – the maximum amount of sun covered
12:59 pm – C4 or when the partial eclipse ends
During the middle of the eclipse, 91-93% of the sun will be covered. When viewing, you should always wear eye protection or a mirrored viewing device, especially at higher elevations.
