On September, 11, 2010, we were co-founded by LTC(R) Carl Churchill, a combat veteran with 21 years of service as both an enlisted soldier and officers, and Lori Churchill, a military spouse and coffee lover. Alpha started out as Lock-N-Load Java when Carl and Lori (along with their two children) packed coffee in their basement and sold exclusively over the web. In 2016, we rebranded to Alpha Coffee, selling both online and via other retailers. In 2017, we opened our first coffee shop, staying close to home with the first location at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Today, we have two locations in the Salt Lake City area and sell to our customers in all 50 states along with many military customers on deployments and stationed overseas. From the start, Carl and Lori wanted to create a different king of company guided by the principles they lived by. That is the origin of our Alpha Coffee Mission Statement: Awesome Coffee, Be a Warrior, Have Fun, and Give Back.
