POW Day
Join Ski Utah, Protect our Winters and Utah Transit Authority (UTA) at Alta Ski Area, Powder Mountain, Snowbird and Sundance Mountain Resort on January 13, 2019 to raise awareness both locally and globally around climate change and to help preserve powder days for future generations.
Why January 13? January 13, 2019 isn't just another winter day. Based on over 50 years of snow data, this is statistically the snowiest day in Utah! This is truly Utah's POW day.
Take action and ride the UTA Ski Bus or carpool to the mountains.
Skiers and riders who carpool, rideshare or take UTA to participating ski resorts on January 13 can share their journey on social media using the hashtag #POWDay19 to be entered to win a variety of prizes. Participating resorts will also offer priority parking for carpools with three or more people.
Participating resorts will also offer the following benefits:
Alta Ski Area: Preferred parking for carpools with three or more people at the Wild Cat Base Area (first come, first serve)
Snowbird: Preferred parking for carpools with three or more people at Entry 1 and Entry 2 (first come, first serve)
