Tony grew up in the big-mountain mecca of suburban Chicago, where he spent the weekends challenging himself on epic terrain in Southeastern Wisconsin. Just kidding. The skiing was awful, which is why after attending Colby College in Maine, he made the best decision of his life and moved to Utah in 2007.
Throwing all his professional ambition and future prospects out the window for the sole purpose of chasing powder may seem like a questionable choice, but Tony's found just enough work as a freelance writer to masquerade a responsible adult while getting as many days on snow as possible. His passions include long walks in the mountains, unironically doing telemark specific tricks, going over the bars in deep snow and raising his daughter to prioritize powder skiing above all other things.
