Last Chair host Tom Kelly is a lifelong skier and storyteller who moved from the hills of Wisconsin to the mountains of Utah. Kelly is most known as the spokesman for the U.S. Olympic Ski and Snowboard Team, telling the stories of great athletes at 10 Olympics. His Behind the Gold stage presentations have entertained and educated audiences around the country. “Skiing and snowboarding are exhilarating activities that take us up to the peaks to experience that majestic feeling that is so much a part of our mountain life.” Kelly has been widely recognized for his work, including the Bob Gillen Memorial Award from the North American Snowsport Journalists Association for his professionalism in public relations, the Spirit of Hospitality Award from the Park City Chamber Bureau for his work in the resort community and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s Building Dreams Award for his storytelling about Olympic athletes. Just last spring, Kelly was inducted into the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame. A passionate home cook, Kelly also enjoys SCUBA diving and running his Jeeps in the Utah desert. He and his wife Carole call Park City home, where they enjoy hosting friends at their legendary Star Barn Silver Creek.
