Utah's ski resorts are renowned for their excellent skiing conditions, abundant snow, and a variety of engaging events. And with Spring officially here, we rounded up some family-friendly springtime events at Utah resorts for 2025.

Alta Ski Area

  • Don't let the name fool you. Alta's Winter Educational Programming is still running through mid-April. Turn the great outdoors into your classroom with weekly on-mountain tours led by local non-profit organizations. Witih multiple outings per week and free registration, the whole family can enjoy.   • Enjoy the 16th annual Alta Earth Day on April 12 with all day educational tours, live music, art marketing, ski demos, giveaways, and more. More info here.

Brian Head Ski Resort

  • Gather your friends and family for the Cardboard Box Race on April 5. Put your skills to the test by designing and building your own cardboard sled and prepare to race down the slopes against the other sled creations. More info here.

  • It's still six months from October but never too early to show off your best costume at the Costume Slalom on April 12. Race through the slalom course in front of Giant Steps Lodge and win prizes and bragging rights for the best costume. More info here

  • Say hi to the Easter Bunny when you hop over to the Easter Egg Hunt on April 20. Kids can search for colorful Easter eggs hidden in snow and collect their goodies. More info here

  • Make a splast at the Brian Head Pond Skim event on April 26. Participants will challenge themselves to glide across the pond without falling into the frigid water. More info here

Brighton

  • Spend Easter Day in the mountains and fresh air at Brighton's Easter Egg Hunt on April 20 at 8:30AM. Join the Easter Bunny on Explorer Lift for photos and candy. Follow it up with a pancake breakfast at the Alpine Rose. 

Powder Mountain

  • Snowboarding + banked slalom = Powder Mountain's 9th Annual Turn N Burn event on March 29. While the registration for this year is closed, all are welcome to watch this high speed, adrenaline pumping event with big prizes on the line for those to make it to the podium. More info here.

  • Get ready to take a knee and charge at this year's No Joke Tele Race - back for its third year. If your knees hurt, you can enjoy watching the race and live it up at the afterparty with live music. More info here.

  • While an official closing day has not yet been announced, if this year is anything like the last, you can pencil in an epic season party with hours of live music, kids activities like bounce houses, and...drumroll please...a pond skim.

Snowbasin Resort

  • Join Snowbasin's ultimate spring celebration - The Moose is Loose Après Party on April 5. Enjoy this free event with great music, questionable outfits, and refreshing drinks for the perfect way to unwind. More info here.

  • Don't miss the iconic cross-over event of the year - Snowbasin's 11th Annual Pond Skim on April 12. Guests are encouraged to make a whacky attempt across the 100-foot pond. Keep the adrenaline and suspense going to see who wins the costume contest. More info here

Snowbird

  • Get your live tunes at Plazapalooza, Snowbird's spring concert series running from March 21–May 27. Keep those ski legs warm by dancing the afternoon away to free live music while refueling with food and drinks. More info here.
     
  • Bring the entire family to cheer on talented up-and-coming alpine ski racers (including local athletes) at the SnowCup April 5–8. More info here

  • Come see competitors from around the world as they compete in the Snowbird FIS Open: Freestyle Mogul even April 19–20. More info here

Solitude Mountain Resort

  • Check out what pro skiers love to do on their days off at the Red Bull Cascade March 28–29. This free event is open to the public to see the best skiers in the world take on a custom course from the mind of freeski legend Bobby Brown. Schedule and details here

  • End a perfect day of spring skiing at the Last Chance Beach Bash, every Saturday from April 5–29. Music lineup and info here.

  • Bust out your best costume, slather on some sunscreen, and show off your pond skimming skills at the Pond Skim Beach Party on April 12. Whether you make a splash or not, keep the party going and enjoy live music after. More info here

Sundance Mountain Resort

  • Start the day off with a hearty Firefighters Pancake Breakfast on April 26. This is the perfect opportunity to fill hungry bellies in a beautiful mountain setting while giving bak to the community. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the North Fork Fire Department. Tickets and info here

Woodward Park City

  • The Uninvited Invitational features top women's snowboarding talent and community engagement. Elite female riders will compete on custom courses April 10–12, and everyone can join the Community Ride Day on April 13. More info here
