Warm weather has arrived in Utah and, this month, following what turned out to be the longest shoulder season ever, the state’s mountain resorts are beginning to reopen for the summer season. The safety of both staff and guests has always been a priority at each destination, but, in light of current health concerns, that emphasis on safety has taken on new significance. Each resort has employed a long list of protocols based on CDC guidelines and local health officials including scheduling visitation and/or require reservations, installing hand sanitization stations, social distancing, mask-wearing and amped-up cleaning schedules. Currently, other than travelers from places with high community spread of COVID-19 (New York City or out of the country, for example), the state of Utah is not requiring out-of-state visitors to self-quarantine upon arrival. For detailed information about the COVID-19 preventions employed by each of the resorts listed below, please visit each’s respective websites. Ski Utah is also encouraging both visitors and locals to follow the National Park Service’s #recreateresponsibly guidelines. We also encourage you to call ahead or check resort websites for the most current information. As of June 27, 2020 face coverings/masks are required in public in both Salt Lake and Summit Counties. *Please note: this page was most recently updated on July 6, 2020.
